If you can post a link to an audio aufio download that would be very helpful. This tool uses JavaScript and much of it will not work correctly without it enabled.

I am further confused by the fact that the two cables from the front audio panel have three connectors for MIC and five for Audio, as shown below, but there does not seem to be a Power connector for 865perk audio.
I wasn't concerned, bad driver I thought. Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please. I have no PCI cards in this box. I have checked the BIOS to insure that the audio settings are enabled. I've tried several audio drivers but non of them seem to work. However there are a good amount of memory-related options to fool with. I have tried with two separate speaker systems, both of which produce sound on other Dell computers. I may try getting it replaced by NewEgg but I don't suppose it'll help.

Community Forum Software by IP. This isn't an uncommon combination of features for an PE or P motherboard, so the DPERL doesn't completely 865perp in the tweaking department. Rather than starting over with the OS install, paying more attention to the order of the updates, it might be easier to slap in an inexpensive audip card and use its drivers after disabling SoundMAX.
