This is available in the birt runtime download. I guess my question is similar to Shawn's - though I didn't understand the proposed solution. With the latest nightly build, you can work around this by manually typing in the driver class name this was not possible with the M3 build since it used a dropdown list for the driver class. This plugin is exactly what I want. Since I'm using a supplied connection object, what should I put there instead? The bridgeId specifies the element id of the extension that implements the ODA runtime.

The EmbeddedDriver class does not implement the java. I just have a question about this, what data source do I specify in my report design file?

Saikiran, 1 - Shoule be the same VM. The error message you see has been removed in subsequent BIRT builds. Is there any binary distribution for the plugin which you discussed in the article?

Thanks, Susan Cline Report message to a moderator. I'm curious about this comment, because I have used other Eclipse plug-ins with the Derby embedded driver and it has been able to 'discover' the Driver class automatically.

This is leading to performance samledb. I tried to download this plugin as it is and copied it to BIRT plugins directory after adding few sysout. This property can be set when using a JDBC data source. The New Connection window retrieved this name embwdded the derby. As what you have mentioned, I downloaded birt runtime I have all-in-one downloaded on another directory. Creating the connection Regardless of which server you are using, you must create a design-time connection to the database.

I had only one issue compiling it: This will allow the plug-in to be used within the designer using the credentials supplied in the Data Source editor and when deployed to an application that supplies the connection through the application context.
